We are always interested in hearing from intelligent, motivated individuals. Areas of interest include stochastic gene expression, biological feedback control, time-lapse microscopy, single-cell analysis methods, microfluidics, optogenetics, computational modeling, and dynamical systems. Email Dr. Dunlop for more information.
Please email Dr. Dunlop with information about your background and why you are interested in working in the group. Prospective students should have a strong background in either engineering or biology, and a desire to learn the other field. Projects areas of interest include:
- Design of feedback control systems for synthetic biology
- Antibiotic resistance at the single-cell level
- Natural and synthetic gene circuits that use feedback to regulate gene expression
We are interested talking to ambitious, motivated undergraduates who would like to gain lab experience. We are currently looking for students for the spring and summer of 2018. We will be reviewing applications from undergraduates through mid-November 2017. Please email Dr. Dunlop for more information.
