Candidates should have conducted Ph.D. research in bioengineering, microbiology, molecular biology, synthetic biology, biophysics, chemical engineering, or a closely related field. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the following areas, with extensive expertise in one or more of the topics: optogenetics, microfluidics, single-cell analysis, feedback control, time-lapse microscopy, antibiotic resistance, or metabolic engineering. Experience conducting microbiology experiments is required. Individuals with strong microbiology skills and a demonstrated interest in quantitative science or engineering are encouraged to apply.
