Postdoctoral Scholars

Summer 2019: We anticipate an opening for a postdoctoral scholar in the group and encourage interested applicants to apply. Please send a CV, cover letter describing previous research, and contact information for three references to Prof. Dunlop. Start date is flexible (fall/winter 2019 ideal).

Candidates should have conducted Ph.D. research in bioengineering, microbiology, molecular biology, synthetic biology, biophysics, chemical engineering, or a closely related field. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the following areas, with extensive expertise in one or more of the topics: optogenetics, microfluidics, fluorescence microscopy, single-cell analysis, feedback control, antibiotic resistance, or metabolic engineering. Experience conducting microbiology experiments is required. Individuals with strong microbiology skills and a demonstrated interest in quantitative science or engineering are encouraged to apply.

Graduate Students

We are always interested in hearing from intelligent, motivated individuals. Please email Dr. Dunlop with information about your background and why you are interested in working in the group. Ph.D. students typically spend their first year doing rotation projects before picking a lab to join.

Undergraduate Students

Ambitious, motivated undergraduates who would like to gain lab experience should email Dr. Dunlop for more information.
